The Vietnam Air Service Company (VASCO) and Ozshore Pty Ltd Company had signed the hire and operation contract for the aircraft no. PAC-750 XSTOL on 14th December 2012 at Ho Chi Minh City. The PAC-750 XSTOL is the new light aircraft produced by Pacific Aerospace Company, configured in a 10-seat passenger arrangement, continuous 6-hour flying and a maximum speed of 315km/h.

This is a multi-feature aircraft with the abilities in short take-off from the grass airstrip distance of 300m and land-off on 110m airstrip. PAC-750 XSTOL can be used for cargo (relief) transportation to disaster areas, chemicals spraying in agriculture, first aid in remote areas, firefighting, parachute jumping, travel entertainment servicing in resorts and, especially, for aerial survey flights. Adding PAC-750 ZSTOL to VASCO’s aircraft fleet will provide Vasco’s customers more select options as well as improve VASCO’s capabilities in supply and operation in aviation generally.

On the same day, VASCO and Vietnam Natural Resources and Environment Corporation (VINANREN) had signed the contract of aerial survey flight for Support Program to Respond to Climate Change (SP-RCC) in Vietnam. According to the signed contract, the aerial survey flights for SP-RCC in Vietnam will meet 500 flight hours approximately.


 

     “The Support Program to Respond to Climate Change in Vietnam is a big project, a national target program and is a prestige honor for Vasco to join in” stated by Mr. Nguyen Thai Trung – The Director of VASCO. VASCO believe that the success of the project will have practical efficiencies, contributes in providing, updating information on the climate changes impacts in Vietnam. On such basis, Vietnam will timely and accordingly promulgate policies, measures to respond to the climate change.
